More prices cut at 1555 Wabash

New West Realty has trimmed prices once again on several condos at its 1555 Wabash high-rise in the South Loop, judging from the company’s latest listings.

The latest reductions, applied in mid-February, take starting prices for one-bedrooms from the low $220s down into the $190s, with a high price point in the $310s. Listed two-bedrooms now top out in the $320s, compared with original list prices as high as the $350s.

Additionally, the $15,000 price tag for deeded indoor parking is now negotiable, according to New West’s listings. The building has been approved for FHA-backed loans.

With the sales information at Redfin and in the Tribune’s Cook County sales records database, I can count a minimum of 20 closings in the 176-unit tower, with at least another 39 sales pending.
