Motor Row Lofts' gateway to history

As part of the process of adapting three landmarked auto dealerships into modern residential lofts, Motor Row Lofts developer Paul Zucker was tasked with preserving and restoring his buildings’ historic nature at every turn. This is apparent from the moment residents enter the lobby, a space adorned with wood panels from a general manager’s office, two restored 5-foot-wide doors, and the showroom’s original tile floor. Even the original sales office dividers have been preserved and now wrap around the lofts’ wall of mailboxes.

On November 15, Sheldon Good & Company will auction 20 of the remaining units at Motor Row Lofts, 2303 S Michigan Ave in the South Loop. Starting tomorrow, October 24, the development will be open from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in the lead-up to the auction.
