MR Properties has topped off its West Loop condo development at 950 W. Monroe, a 99-unit mid-rise where the first residents are expected to move in ahead of schedule, as early as spring of 2005.
“The closer in you get to early move-in, the more attractive the building becomes for people who want immediate occupancy, especially during the next six to eight months,” said Britta Rivera, general sales manager for Garrison Partners, exclusive marketing and sales agents for the development.
And buyers need less and less imagination to picture how their completed homes will look.
“Topping off the building gets us closer to the point where we can show the views,” Rivera said. “Mechanicals are nearing completion, brick work, wall studs, partitions and window framing are underway on lower floors too.”
Nineteen condos remain for sale at 950 West Monroe. They have two bedrooms, two baths and 1,177 to 1,612 square feet of space, priced from the $360s to the $490s. The larger units have dens and all have balconies or terraces.
In addition to free or heavily discounted parking spots valued at $30,000 and up, developers are offering two select “homes of the month” with electrical upgrades and free six-foot Whirlpool tubs valued at $3,600.
