New apartments at the Paulina Brown Line stop

If you want to keep abreast of development proposals in the neighborhoods, DNAinfo is one of the sites you should check in on periodically.

Yesterday DNAinfo reported that Centrum Partners is proposing to build a 5- to 7-story building with 32 to 48 apartments and ground-level retail space at 3400 N Lincoln Ave, directly adjacent to the Paulina Brown Line stop in Lake View. The higher number of apartments would require a zoning change. Hirsch Associates is the architect for the project.

A representative of the developer, according to DNAinfo, suggested the retail space might be home to a “fast-casual restaurant or coffee-type shop.” There’s a Starbucks almost across the street from the location, and quite a few restaurants in the immediate area, including the popular Wishbone North. The location is a short walk from the restaurant cluster in Roscoe Village. Whole Foods is just over a block away.
