You’ll never find Chicagoans agreeing unanimously on “the best,” regardless of the topic. But, if you set out to identify Chicago’s best block for apartment living, you’ll get a rough consensus that Block 37, bounded by Dearborn, State, Randolph and Washington, is a contender.
Block 37 is bordered on the east by Macy’s, on the west by Daley Plaza, on the north by the downtown theater district, and on the south by the landmark Reliance Building, Walgreens, Mediterranean Grill and Lavazza Espression.
Within its borders Block 37 encompasses a 275,000 square foot multi-level indoor mall that includes shops, restaurants, theaters and direct access to CTA trains and the underground Pedway.
The hot River North dining and nightlife scene is a few short blocks north.
Millennium Park and Michigan Ave are a brief walk to the east.
Marquee at Block 37 is the capstone element at Chicago’s best block, a new apartment tower that’s pre-leasing now for June occupancy.
Pre-opening rents start at $1,998 for studios, $2,110 for convertibles, $2,425 for 1-bedrooms, $3,822 for 2-bedroom, 2-baths and $6,832 for 3-bedroom, 3-bath apartments. Floor plans and near real-time rent and availability info are online.
Marquee’s show-stopping amenities include a terrace overlooking State Street, a rooftop terrace, a penthouse-level fitness center, a steam room and sauna, an outdoor pool and sundeck with cabanas, an event room with a catering kitchen, a game room, a cinema lounge, coffee bars, fire pits, grilling stations, a business center and conference room, and a guest suite. The pet-friendly building has a dog run and wash.
The leasing office for Marquee at Block 37 is located on the third floor (next to Latinicity) at Block 37, 108 North State Street. Office hours are 9 am to 6 pm weekdays, from 10 to 5 on Saturday, and 11 to 5 on Sunday.
