It may not be on the same scale as the new-construction high-rise planned on Belmont Avenue or the high-rise conversion Sheridan Tower, but we spotted a new condo building planned for 3823 N Ashland Ave in Lake View. The five-story brick building has multiple setbacks and inset balconies that look pretty interesting, but, despite a site fronting Ashland Avenue, there’s no ground-floor retail space. Sussex & Reilly is marketing the 33-unit development. Condos have one to three bedrooms, hardwood floors, crown molding, cherry cabinets, granite countertops and marble bathrooms. Prices range from the $340s to the $720s.

Thanks Joel. I like how you stick with the new developments–my favorite topic.
Two questions; is this where the car dealer was and aren’t parts of Ashland “boulevard” or parkway? If this is, then commercial might not actually be allowed.
The car dealer was in the 3500’s, just south of Addison. This building is at Ashland and Byron, next door to a boarded-up restaurant building. Any clue as to what’s going on there?
Oh yeah, that’s right. I’m confusing Irving and Addison.
That’s right around the corner from me – I’ll take the dog for a walk by there this weekend and see what I can find out. I’ll post any info or pictures on the Lake View journal.
Oooh Yay! More architectural pablum. Just what Chicago needs!
