Lake View’s $2 million market didn’t dry up in 2010 — 10 homes sold at or above that price, compared to 12 in 2009 and 11 in 2008. There’s still a surplus of these $2 million-plus homes, though; 18 were listed for sale going into this weekend, and another, a new three-story home at 1542 W Nelson St, came online today.

The home, priced at $2.45 million, is still a bit of a construction zone, judging from the gallery of photos that Coldwell Banker agent Dusanka Verschuur has attached to her listing. When finished, it will feature six en-suite bedrooms (four located on the second floor), a media room, four terraces, a side yard, and an attached three-car garage.

It was built on a 35-foot-wide lot that sold last February for $480,000. (The land, once the site of a two-flat, had been priced as high as $699,000, and eventually sold as a short sale.)
