New Englewood Crossings features brick, stone homes

Click to enlargeWe posted recentlyabout New Englewood Crossings, 135 single-family homes and two-flats that will offer affordable housing options for the Englewood community.

AMS Realty is marketing the project, which is designed by Brook Architecture, Inc. and will be developed by three not-for-profits with Park National Bank.

The exterior design of the single-family home – which, at least from this rendering, looks like it will be a nice addition to Englewood – is made of brick and stone. On the first floor, the dining room (11 by nine feet) and the living room (11 by 10 feet) are about the same size. Bedrooms on the second floor are either 11 by 10 feet, or 12 by 10 feet.

Pre-sales will begin this summer, according to June Webb, managing broker of AMS Realty. Webb says single-family homes will be priced below $200,000. The two-flats have not been priced yet. But the New Homes for Chicago program, of which New Englewood Crossings is a part, caps prices at $265,000, according to its Web site.
