New fountain springs up at Emerald

Emerald, 123 - 125 S Green St, Chicago

As a reminder that new-construction developments remain new-construction developments well after buyers start moving in, John Robert Wiltgen Design passes along this photo of a new outdoor fountain at Emerald, 123 – 125 S Green St in the West Loop.

Wiltgen, who put together many of Emerald’s amenity spaces, designed the fountain with stainless steel and concrete elements on a charcoal stone ground cover, according to a press release accompanying the photo. “In addition to being quite appealing, having this fountain outside the building follows the principles of good feng shui,” Wiltgen says in the release.

Maybe the fountain’s good vibes will help Emerald’s developers sell the rest of its inventory; one-bedroom / one bath homes with 765 to 900 square feet and two bedroom / two baths with 1,250 to 1,297 square feet are still available starting in the mid-$200s.
