A surface parking lot just south of Congress Parkway could be the site of a new residential high-rise once the economic climate improves, according to the Sun-Times. Investors William Pacella, George Bonomo, and Shadow Mirkhaef are pursuing approval of a 33-story, 276-unit tower at 519 S Clinton St. The units could be apartments or condos, depending on market conditions.
Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture‘s Web site features a single rendering of the building. The design bears a passing resemblance to 235 Van Buren, which features a similar series of balconies of varying widths running up its southern face.

Let’s see. GSG a hispanic owned firm run by 2 guys with no experience, got huge city contracts. Shadow Mirkhaif not real smart, frontman. Also involved in deal for marina on south side with Ginnolius (bad spelling) current Treasurer, running for Obama’s seat. Something stinks.
This looks ugly and is not needed.
Terrible location. I hope their floorplans are better than the ones at 235 W Van Buren. And pricing needs to be in the $200 – $250 per sf range to make it even potentially interesting…
Kramer,
You really need to clean up your pathetic act or, better yet, take it elsewhere.
Lets see, Kramer you were on the right track, but Shadow isnt hispanic. He is middle eastern (something or other) He has deep ties with Daley family. Has helped purchase land for the Daley family. His real company is not GSG, it is EGSL an environmental clean-up company. Which has an unwritten longstanding contract with the Archdioces of Chicago.
This specific plot of land was suppose to be bid on prior to being sold, yet the only company to make a bid was the group of Shadow and Bonomo.
The clout runs deep, are you surprised.
