Fourteen new rental high-rises, totaling over 5,000 units, have been proposed or are under construction in the greater downtown area of Chicago.

Earlier today, after a visit to the West Loop, I stopped for a brief look at several of the sites, and at the Trio tower which has recently scrapped its condo sales program and converted to rentals.
