New South Loop condos ease Chicago’s harsh winters

It’s not too early to begin thinking about next winter. Chicago’s winters are a lot easier to enjoy when restaurants, bars, grocery shopping and public transportation are almost at your doorstep.

Residents of the new South Loop condos at 1345 Wabash can visit Gioco, Zapatista, Asian Outpost, Flo & Santos and The Scout without leaving their block.

Residents who venture beyond the block will find dozens of dining and drinking establishments within a few minutes’ walk. Breakfast options are abundant, but you can expect a weekend wait at the popular Bongo Room, Eleven City Diner, Yolk and Waffles.

Jewel-Osco and Trader Joe’s are a block north at Roosevelt Rd. Quick in-and-out shopping is available just around the corner from the building at Go Grocer and Mac Kelly’s Greens & Things.

A CTA transit hub served by multiple bus and train routes is a block north of 1345 Wabash on Roosevelt Rd.

One-bedroom condos at 1345 Wabash start at $228,900 and two-bedrooms at $290,900. 1345 Wabash is targeting first occupancy early in the spring of 2015. The sales and design center is at 1620 S Michigan Ave.
