New South Loop condos have great access to big-box retail

Most people value the experience of shopping at small, locally owned retailers. They also recognize and value the need for having convenient access to major national retail chains.

The Roosevelt Road corridor is shaping up to offer access to major retailers that rivals what’s available in the Clybourn Corridor area on the North Side.

The Maxwell is the latest addition to a thriving retail strip along Roosevelt Road that boasts Target, Whole Foods, the Shops at Roosevelt Collection, Best Buy and a lot more. Dick’s Sporting Goods recently opened its first Chicago store at The Maxwell, which has also signed leases with TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack and Burlington Coat Factory.

Roosevelt Road hasn’t approached the level of traffic gridlock that plagues the Clybourn Corridor area at busy times.

Residents at the new condos currently under construction in the South Loop at 1345 Wabash will be just a few minutes from the Roosevelt Road retail cluster.

1345 Wabash is setting a new standard for interior finishes and attracting a style-conscious buyer who also wants a strong location and value pricing.

1345’s finishes will include brands typically found in pricier homes: Florense cabinetry, Duravit floating vanities, Grohe fixtures, TOTO toilets and TransCeramica architectural tile.

Pre-completion prices at 1345 Wabash start at $222,900 for 1-bedrooms and $289,900 for 2-bedrooms.
