New West Loop apartments with a great neighborhood vibe

The Wall Street Journal recently caught up with what’s common knowledge in Chicago: the West Loop is hot.

The Journal article focuses on luxury condo development, but the bigger story is the pace of new rental apartment construction in the area. Developers have flocked to the West Loop, recognizing its appeal to renters who want the convenience of living steps away from great shopping, restaurants and nightlife while being a short jaunt from work, CTA train and bus stops and the city’s expressway grid.

The West Loop spans nearly two miles from east to west and nearly a mile from north to south. Within that span you’ll find dense mixed-use high-rise clusters east of the expressway and quiet residential areas toward the western end.

The center of the West Loop has an exciting neighborhood vibe, with a pedestrian-friendly mix of mostly low-rise offices, galleries, lofts, and a stunning variety of restaurants.

Circa 922, new high-rise apartments adjacent to an existing rental loft building, is at the center of the West Loop. At 922 W Washington, the full-amenity, pet-friendly, smoke-free building has a steps-from-everything location. And it has everything renters have been looking for in new apartments: high ceilings, views, upscale finishes, private balconies and in-unit washer / dryers.

First occupancies at Circa 922 will be in January of 2015, and renters can lock in units now for January through April move-ins. Floor plans and prices are available online.
