When we shot the above video at 1610 N Honore in Bucktown, back on a snowy January day, the home was listed for sale at $2,499,000. At the end of March the price was reduced to $1,950,000.
And, over the weekend, it was also listed for rent at $8,000 a month, a number that spells rent on almost any rent vs buy scenario.
The four-bedroom, 3 ½ bath home has been bidding for LEED Platinum status, but that’s only one of its many distinctive features.
The home is a complete transformation and expansion of an original two-flat. Many of the two-flat’s original materials have been creatively recycled into functional and architectural details in the new home.
