Odyssey Lofts convenient to Greektown, Loop, Ike and Kennedy

Odyssey Lofts

The residents of Odyssey Lofts, 775 W. Jackson Blvd, will never want for gyros. The building is crawling distance from Halsted Street, the main artery of Chicago’s Greektown, in the West Loop.

The restaurants and nightspots along Randolph Street are also nearby, and the Loop proper is just across the bridge that spans I-90/94 – not too long a trek for an office worker.

The building is just one door down from these expressways, which some might see as a downside. But the roads run through a deep canyon that ought to keep the noise and exhaust at a decent remove – while ensuring panoramic views of the city for the eastern-facing units.

Odyssey LoftsOdyssey Lofts has ground-floor commercial space and 60 residential units that range from 740 to 1,836 square feet, and 14-foot sandblasted timber ceilings keep even the smaller units from feeling cramped. Homes start in the $270s and top out near the $620s.

The developer, W Developments LLC, has added two stories of new construction to the top of the six-story building.

In January, 21 units remained for sale, according to Barbara Buchel, of Jameson Realty Group, who is marketing the project. First occupancies are expected this month.
