Meet T-905, the last terrace condo to go at Centrum Properties‘ Fairbanks at Cityfront Plaza high-rise at 240 E Illinois St in Streeterville. As the name suggests, The Fairbanks’ terrace tier feature large, landscaped terraces instead of balconies. In T-905’s case, that means you get 1,250 square feet of outdoor space along with your 1,529 square-foot home.
It’s been almost three years since closings began at The Fairbanks, and Centrum must be itching to get out of the building at this point. To that end, sales manager Nathalie Tourre shot out an e-blast today with the words “OFFERS WELCOME” and “BEST DEAL FOR QUICK CLOSING” in bold type. The home is listed in the $990s, making it the most expensive home currently available in the building and priced well above the closing prices for most of the building’s units. (And at $654 a square foot, it’s priced higher than any other closed unit in terms of square footage.)
T-905’s listing mentions features like 12-foot ceiling heights, Bosch, Thermador, and KitchenAid stainless-steel appliances, glass backsplashes, hardwood floors, and a marble master bath. Parking is available for $55,000 to $65,000 per space.
Amenities at The Fairbanks include a theater with stadium seating, a fitness room, and an outdoor swimming pool.
To bad the views are non-existent, the Embassy Suites looms over the outdoor space and the emergency exit staircase for the loft units below rises up in the “yard”. The short kitchen cabinets look out of place against the 12′ ceilings…this unit just doesn’t work.
