Over the next few weeks, Mark and I will try to hit up some of the city’s most well traveled streets to check in on newer residential developments and to see how the city changes as we move from neighborhood to neighborhood, much as Joe Zekas and I did when we drove up and down 63rd Street earlier this month.
On Wednesday we spent some time on North Avenue between LaSalle Street and the far corner of Humboldt Park. In this opening segment from our drive, we try to navigate some thick traffic from Sedgwick Street and the river and catch glimpses of the new Near North Side high-rise SoNo and the still-active conversion at North and Halsted, The Axis.
