On succeeding two Chicago icons

The Habitat Company has changed the face of Chicago. In its relatively brief 30-year history the company has developed over 17,000 residential units and currently manages over 23,000.

The company’s founder, Dan Levin, is a real estate legend and Valerie Jarrett, a recent CEO, is a senior advisor to Barack Obama.

We recently visited with Mark Segal, President and CEO of The Habitat Company. In this first part of our interview we touched briefly on the company’s history and scale and asked him to talk about the experience of succeeding two Chicago icons.
