Open House Review – Byron Manor

Armitage Avenue in Lincoln Park

Byron Manor is a 9-unit rehab tucked among the small apartment complexes and deluxe homes of Irving Park. This Dana Group/At Properties development at 3749-53 W Byron has the full assets of the neighborhood (close to the freeway/Metra/Blue Line) and some plush features.

The units are 2 br, 2 ba ranging from the mid $200s to low $300s. Standard features include (you guessed it) stainless appls, granite kitchen and bath, hardwood floors – all well done and tasteful. Lots of nice asides here are standard in all of the units – dishwasher, microwave, stack washer/dryer. They even beat the squeaky floor problem common to some rehabs.

One notable feature is the ‘door cam’. (This is one security conscious building). Each unit features a security and intercom system with a door cam, allowing the resident to make sure it’s the pizza guy and not some local ruffian. You won’t even have to be there. If someone rings you up, the door cam automatically takes a picture of the ringee. No more cases of UPS pulling a fast one.

Byron Manor is worth a look. A few tight corners but great features, plenty of parking and likely appreciation of the investment.
