What can Chicago residents do to make the city more environmentally friendly?

A panel will discuss this question at a Chicago History Museum forum Thursday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m, at 1601 N Clark St.

Panelists include Robert Kohl, chairman of the Center on Halsted, and Jay Longo, one of the architects of the new GLBT community center, which History Museum’s Web site claims is “Chicago’s newest all-green building.”

The 65,000-square-foot center, 3656 N Halsted St, opened Tuesday. Its features include a rooftop garden, gym, day care and counseling centers.

Also at Thursday’s panel: Erik Olsen, Green Projects administrator for the Department of Construction and Permits, and Jenna Rose, president of A Fresh Squeeze, a Web site devoted to green living.
