Wait until April 5 — that’s the message that comes across again and again on Parc Huron’s newly updated Web site. Everything you want to know about rates, fees, and incentives will arrive on Monday, the same day the building’s leasing center opens for business.
Construction on Parc Huron, located at 469 W Huron St in River North, has progressed at a leisurely pace throughout the first three months of 2010. Balcony railings typically zip up the sides of a building once they arrive, but it’s been more than two months since the first ones went up at Parc Huron and approximately half of the balconies are still bare as of this afternoon. Surely there’s some finish in store for the concrete exterior, too, but so far nothing’s in place aside from some metal detail around the windows.
Still, the building is far enough along to house a leasing center, and the site now advertises a June 1 move-in date, so something’s going on over there.
Parc Huron’s apartments include one-bedrooms with 614 to 871 square feet and two-bedrooms with 1,100 to 1,443 square feet, all with 9.5- to 10-foot ceiling heights, hardwood floors throughout, kitchens with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, baths with granite vanity tops and Italian tile flooring, and stackable washer / dryer units.
Amenities will include a sauna, steam room, relxaxation pool, fitness center, theater room, wine room, storage lockers, WiFi lounge, landscaped terrace with outdoor fireplace, and 14,000 square-foot park.
The building will be a candidate for LEED Gold certification, according to the development’s Web site.
