Parc Huron's earth tones

Parc Huron, 469 W Huron St, Chicago

A new coat of a light brown (tan? khaki?) paint now covers part of the concrete facade at Parc Huron, the new rental high-rise nearing completion at 469 W Erie St in River North. Along with the green tint of its windows and the new slate tiles going up on its parking deck (below), the tower is starting to give off an earthy vibe at an intersection dominated by Smithfield‘s two steely structures, Erie on the Park and Kingsbury on the Park.

If crews stay true to Hartshorne Plunkard‘s renderings, the western side of the building should feature much more of the cream-white paint seen only as a detail in the image above.

Speaking of renderings, the image gallery at Parc Huron’s website now features a number of new mock-ups of the building’s lobby, apartments, and amenities, four of which I’ve embedded at bottom.
