Expect to see more activity at 1000 S Michigan Ave in the coming weeks. During a visit to the Park 1000 sales center last Friday, sales associate Christos Papanastasatos told us that Renaissant Development Group plans to break ground on the Loop high-rise sometime “soon.”
Of course, Renaissant was supposed to start building the 40-story tower in August of 2007, so “soon” could mean a lot of things. Sales at that time had just reached the 50-percent mark. Now that sales have passed 60 percent, it seems likely that work really is set to begin.
Park 1000’s 346 one- to three-bedroom condos are priced from the $440s to $4 million. The building should be complete in 2010, Papanastasatos says.
