Park Tower penthouse sells for $15 million

At an architectural height of 844 feet, the Park Tower condominium, 800 N Michigan Ave, ranks as Chicago’s 12th tallest building. It’s the fifth-tallest building with residences, behind the John Hancock Center, 900 N Michigan, Water Tower Place and Aqua, and just a bit above The Legacy, which is the city’s tallest all-residential building at 819 feet.

A 66th-floor penthouse at the 67-story Park Tower just sold for $15 million, topping the previous high for a Chicago condo by $3 million. More details can be found at Crain’s Chicago Real Estate Daily and at Chicago Magazine’s Deal Estate column.

Coldwell Banker’s Chezi Rafaeli was the listing agent on the sale.

We haven’t been on the penthouse level of Park Tower, but we recently flew over it, and the above shot approximates the spectacular view to the north. The Park Tower is at the lower left corner of the image. The following shot from a 44th-floor balcony at Park Tower, several hundred feet below the penthouse level, is a rough illustration of the view to the east.
