Pointe 1900 offers "turret tours"

Condominium buyers have a rare opportunity to take a “turret tour” at Pointe 1900 on State, a 101-unit mixed-use development in the South Loop.
“With construction nearly complete on the first phase of Pointe 1900 on State, we are currently showcasing our top-of-the-line turret residences,” said veteran developer Rick Turner, president of Dynaprop Development Corp.

The rare turreted condominium designs each feature two terraces and are situated in the building’s corner turret. They range in base price from $352,900 to $370,900.

“These unusual residences – designed around a circular living-dining room – are specially planned for entertaining guests, and they all feature panoramic views of the Loop skyline,” Turner said.

Phase I of the development comprises 59 residential units, with another 72 condominiums planned in Phase II. Base prices range from $256,900 to $420,900. Heated garage parking is available for $23,900.

The condominiums, designed by architects Bedar, Dwyer & Behm, feature ceiling heights of 10 to 12 feet, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and baths, granite undermount kitchen sinks and hardwood floors in living areas.

The four-story development also will have 38,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, including Bank One, Subway Sandwiches, a nail spa, a dry cleaner, Athletico and Palaggi’s, an Italian restaurant and café.

“Other planned retail tenancy includes a coffee shop, drug store and communications retailer,” Turner said.
