A couple weeks ago, Yo reader Eric Rojas suggested that “$500K anywhere on Ashland will get you more than 1200 sq/ft, will have parking included (garage probably) and an assessment of $150-200.” That was in reference to The Ashby, a building at 3844 N Ashland Ave featuring three 1,000-square-foot, two-bed / two-bath units with oversized terraces priced at $500,000.
Turns out Eric was right. Not only can $500,000 get you a 1,800-square-foot, three-bed / two-bath condo on Ashland, but you can find such a place right across the street from The Ashby.
About half of 3823 N Ashland’s 22 condominiums are available for purchase and ready for occupancy. Along with the aforementioned $500,000 condos, the building also contains 1,200-square-foot, one-bed / two-bath units starting in the $360s and 1,800-square-foot, three-bed / two-bath penthouses (with rooftop decks) starting in the $690s.
Features include granite countertops, 42-inch cabinets, Moen bath fixtures and gas-start, wood-burning fireplaces. All condos have private terraces or balconies.
Prices include the cost of indoor heated parking, something that’s sold separately at The Ashby for $25,000 a pop.
