Yesterday I sat down with Koenig & Strey agent and Chicago Association of Realtors President Genie Birch to talk about the ups and downs of 2009 and the challenges ahead in 2010.
The year is still young, but Genie already sees signs that we could be in a different environment now than we were last year. For example, she’s encouraged by multiple inquiries she’s had about one of her properties over the past week.
In the first segment from our video interview, she talks about some of the reasons why she thinks the 2010 market shows promise.
Of course a realtor is going to try and hype up 2010 as a better year. Its all about speculation.

And, there are many instances out there of Realtors saying that 2010 is going to be difficult – or worse.
