Ha! This is a bit tounge-in-cheek… but also true. Agents come in from all over the place and pepper me with questions… the first being “has the market picked up here?”. I never reciprocate as I’m not that concerned how the Lake Geneva et al. markets are doing. At least, not while I’m sitting my open house for three hours on a beautiful Sunday during March Madness.
I do ask them “Are you, or is someone you’re working with, actually interested in this place?”. If not, I’ll skip the conversation about “taxes” and “the market”.
