RedEye gives up on Avondale, moves closer to the butchered lamb

“It’s really an upcoming area. We have young adults there, you know, UIC students, people with families. It’s just a great mix.”

The Northwest Side is so last January. RedEye’s new “hottest new neighborhood” is the area around Taylor Street on the Near West Side, where “you can buy a whole butchered lamb at Nea Agora Packing Company, dig into a plate of sushi at Tatsu, slurp an Italian ice at the 56-year-old Mario’s Italian Lemonade stand or take advantage of the Tuesday special at Taylor Street Tattoo.”
