David Hall died peacefully, and unexpectedly, in his sleep earlier this week.
Seven months ago today I sat with David, an old friend who’d built Coldwell Banker’s Lincoln Park office into one of the most successful real estate offices in the country.
Our interview turned from a discussion of the South Loop real estate market to a focus on David’s approach to life. “Life is long,” he said, and financial hardships pass, recalling the days when he was down to his last $5.
Watch the video to learn why David meant so much to so many who are wishing today that his life had been much, much longer. You can read more about David, including comments from friends, co-workers and people who knew him only by reputation, at the Chicago Association of Realtors site.

I hate to hear this. David was always very helpful and knowlegeable in the few instances when I talked to him, and I enjoyed watching his videos as Joe added them to our collection.
I sat down with David Hall a few months ago
and thought he was one of the few brokers
that had a real love and understanding of the business.
I’m sure he will be missed by everyone
Watching this video is really hard to watch. We will miss him so.
“relationships and health are vital”
God be with you David in your next chapter.
