Buyers at The Legacy at Millennium Park, 60 E Monroe St, aren’t having any luck flipping their new units, but you can’t say they haven’t tried. Take this unit, for example — closed on Nov. 9 for $417,453, went back on the market the same day in at $499,000, and has wiggled around the $430s to $450s ever since.
The total lack of movement among The Legacy’s resales has a few owners opting to list their homes for rent on the MLS. Ten rental condos surfaced in a search this morning, ranging from $2,200 a month for a 975 square-foot, west-facing one-bedroom, to $5,500 for a 1,722 square-foot, east-facing two-bedroom.
Legacy’s angles and corners allow a couple of tiers to have views in three directions, meaning you’ll be able to see Millennium Park, the interior of the Loop, and either River North or the South Loop, Grant Park, and more of the lake, depending on which one you choose. Up on the 38th floor, you can find one of those homes, an east / south / west-facing two-bedroom / two-bath with 1,376 square feet, priced at $3,400. Parking is available at an additional, unspecified cost.
