When I visited the full-floor penthouse at 888 S Michigan Ave last October I was impressed with the views from what I called “the best private penthouse terrace in the South Loop.”

At the time, the unit was for sale for $2+ million and for rent at $10,000 a month. The asking price fell to $1.850M in January, and the home has just been listed for rent at $8,250 a month.

The listing copy now touts the unit as having “perhaps the most fabulous outdoor space in the city!” I’ve seen what I’d consider better, but then that’s only my take.
