The historic Shoreland Hotel at 5454 S South Shore Dr in Hyde Park could find new life as a 350-unit apartment building, according to the Sun-Times.
Developer Antheus Capital has hired Jeanne Gang, designer of its proposed Solstice on the Park high-rise, to oversee the Shoreland’s interior work.
Well, it looks like Solstice is now RIP. Or at least on hold. Any confirmation? (I heard from a local realtor that the option had not been renewed)

I just hope the project is revived once the economy turns around. They’ve already gotten community approval for the thing
Apparently that is their plan, but I’m wondering if there is more info on this.
