Reside on Roscoe is a 5-story, 70-unit contemporary elevator building at 532 W Roscoe St in the Lakeview East neighborhood a block from Lake Shore Drive. It was built in 1970.
The property was substantially renovated after being acquired by an affiliate of Reside Living.
The apartments
Reside on Roscoe has a mix of studio apartments ranging in size from 357 to 372 square feet and 1-bedroom apartments that span 600 to 611 square feet. Floor plans and availability are accessible online.
The apartments have wood-look floors in living areas, and new kitchens and baths. The layouts are efficient and feature good closet space. The units have baseboard heat and through-the-wall air-conditioning units.
One-bedroom apartments have a separate dining area. Apartments are eligible for Reside’s “accent wall” program, a way to expand the feel of the space by adding color.
Amenities, services, policies
Reside on Roscoe, like most buildings of its type, has limited common amenities.
The lobby and hallways have been updated and there’s a coffee bar in the lobby.
Reside on Roscoe has an on-site laundry room and a bicycle storage area.
Parking is available on-site, a feature that’s scarce in the neighborhood. The building is smoke-free and pet-friendly, subject to limits.
The location
Reside on Roscoe’s Lakeview East location near the periphery of Wrigleyville and Boystown affords residents good proximity to everything these neighborhoods have to offer. There’s a pedestrian underpass nearby for access to Lincoln Park and the lakefront.
Shopping. Reside on Roscoe residents have good access to grocery shopping.
Treasure Island is a block north on Broadway and Jewel-Osco is three short blocks north on Broadway.
Whole Foods is just over half a mile northwest on Halsted.
There are Target, Marshalls and Bed Bath and Beyond locations nearby for residents setting up housekeeping.
Dining, nightlife, entertainment. Whatever you have a taste for is within a short walk of Reside on Roscoe.
Finding a regular breakfast spot is the first order of dining business for many, and Reside on Roscoe residents will find Waffles Café a few blocks north and local favorite Ann Sather just around the corner. If coffee and munchies suffice, there’s a Starbucks on the corner of Roscoe and Broadway.
The Broadway strip serves up everything from fast food to Thai to burgers to Irish pubs. Rocks and Revolucion are a short walk north and Bountiful Eatery is around the corner.

The 1,200-acre Lincoln Park, one of the great public spaces in America, is less than a block east of Reside on Roscoe. A nearby pedestrian underpass provides access to the 18-mile lakefront trail.
Lincoln Park has almost every recreational amenity imaginable, from an archery range to a great zoo.
Transportation. Reside on Roscoe has good access to bus transportation, but it’s a bit of a hike to CTA trains.
A variety of CTA bus routes traverse the area. The #36 Broadway bus on Broadway, travels into the Loop. The CTA Red Line stop at Addison and the Red, Brown and Purple stop at Belmont are about a 13- and 15- minute walk, respectively from the property.
Reside on Roscoe residents have the #146 and #151 CTA bus stop on Lake Shore Drive at the east end of the block. The 146 runs express to the 900 Shops, anchored by Bloomingdale’s, on Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile, and then on to the Loop. The 151 also travels into the Loop.
The nearest vehicle access to outer Lake Shore Drive is via Belmont Ave (3200 N) or Irving Park Rd (4000 N). Crosstown access to I-90/94 and the city’s expressway grid is inconvenient from this location, and can be time-consuming before and after Cubs’ games.
Zipcar car-sharing locations and DIVVY bike stations are nearby.
