This is the first we’ve heard of the $45 million mixed-use development planned by Royce Messner for the South Side neighborhood of Carney Gardens. In fact, it’s the first we’ve heard of the neighborhood. But in this story, America’s finest news source delves much deeper than the particulars of this project into the pathologies of the urban development process itself.

Reminds me of “The Woodlawn Organization”and their 40 year battle to keep Woodlawn in poverty. Of course they see it differently.
