River North apartment tower takes a step forward

Construction bids are being solicited for a 33-story, 392-unit apartment tower planned for the southeast corner of Clark and Chestnut in River North. The site is in the lower foreground in the photo.

The project, which was designed by Antunovich Associates, received Plan Commission approval in October. BicClerk is reporting the start date of construction as September of next year.
