Sales update: 85 percent sold at 550 St Clair

Click to enlargeA few dropped contracts and a few new purchases add up to a pretty static sales figure at the nearly completed 550 St Clair.

Approximately 15 percent of the high-rise’s 112 homes are still available, says Jerry Houlihan, 550 St Clair’s director of marketing. That’s not too different from what Yo reported last spring.

Sutherland Pearsall Development Corp has dropped the prices on 550 St Clair’s remaining units since that time, however. Studios once priced in the $320s now start in the $280s; one- to three-bedroom condominiums start around $400,000 and top out at over $1 million, Houlihan says.

Parking has also dropped in price from $55,000 to $40,000, but Sutherland Pearsall is no longer offering buyers second spaces for free, as it was back in February of 2007.

Construction of the Brininstool + Lynch-designed building at 550 N St Clair should wrap around the end of April, Houlihan says.
