Nine of the 24 Parkhomes at Lakeshore East have sold, according to Tricia Van Horn, vice president of marketing for Magellan Development Group. Prices range from $1.7 to $2.5 million, and first deliveries are planned for late next year, she says.
Magellan’s $4-billion mixed-use Lakeshore East development is underway at the nexus of Lake Michigan and the southern bank of the Chicago River. The Parkhomes, three-story townhouses that front a six-acre park, lend a human scale to Lakeshore East’s forest of glassy high-rises.
Several of these are selling well: the 304-unit The Chandler and the 344-unit 340 on the Park are both 98 percent sold, and Aqua, the 82-story tower designed by Jeanne Gang, is “91 percent reserved,” according to a statement from Magellan.
