Sales update: Belle Plaine Commons at North Center

Belle Plaine Commons

We’ve seen Cocoon, so we know seniors like to live it up – which may explain the appeal of 55-and-older communities like Belle Plaine Commons at North Center. The 92-unit project is 75 percent sold, according to Karla Johnson, selections coordinator for the project.

The development, 2335 W Belle Plaine Ave, has one- and two-bedroom units, some with dens. All of the two-bedrooms with dens are sold out, Johnson says. Prices for the available units range from the $180s to the $240s, and outdoor parking is included. Garage parking costs $15,900.

Ald. Gene Schulter (47th) helped spearhead the project, Johnson says. Belle Plaine Commons also includes two completed rental buildings – The Martha Washington and St. Vincent DePaul Residence, which are next to Advocate Health Center.

Amenities for the condos include a fitness center, a community room, a furnished lobby and library, and two community parks. The units feature maple cabinets, stainless steel double-bowl sinks and ceramic tiles in the kitchen.

Deliveries are scheduled for spring 2008, Johnson says. North Center Associates, LLC is the developer and Pappageorge/Haymes, Ltd. designed the building.
