The latest word from 433 Briar in Lake View is “so far, so good.” Since an affiliate of Belgravia Group brought 17 two- and three-bedrooms back to the market at heavily discounted prices in September, three units have closed, and another two are under contract, at prices ranging from the $340s to $590s.

“That says we’ve hit the market just right,” says project manager Zev Salomon. “The price range for the units we’ve sold shows that there’s across-the-board interest in the building.”

Salomon’s team just opened a second model — a two-bedroom — for buyers to tour along with the building’s existing three-bedroom model. By Monday, five unsold homes should be finished and ready for occupancy, he says.

433 Briar’s homes feature hardwood floors, crown molding, gas-forced air with central A / C, and washer / dryer hookups. Kitchens have stainless steel appliances and undermount sinks, 1-1/4″ granite countertops, and garbage disposals, and master baths have marble tile finishes, double-bowl vanities, and multi-head Grohe shower systems. They’re priced from the $330s to $590s, down from an original price range of the $420s to $890s.
