Some Yo readers might remember this condo development at 4950 N Western Ave from a couple years ago, when it still was called The Courts at Lincoln Square. (How I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the decision was made to swap “The Courts” out for “Lux.”)
I can’t really say what the name change has done for sales, because this isn’t a development that we’ve kept a close watch on, but @properties agent Jeanine Wheeler tells me that about half of the 49 units have been sold, and that most floor plans are still available. The only floor plans that seem to have sold out are the one-bedroom / one-baths, but Wheeler says there are still some one-bedroom-plus-dens with two bathrooms that start in the $310s.
Wheeler says the rest of the units have two and three bedrooms and are priced from the $310s to the $550s. The remaining units come in 12 different layouts, ranging in size from 1,073 to 2,024 square feet, and they come with washers and dryers and on-site parking. These units have nine- to 10-foot ceiling heights, and they feature hardwood floors throughout, gas fireplaces and private balconies.
Wheeler says there is still work to be done on the remaining units, meaning that buyers can still pick out finishes, but drywall is in place, and several of the units will be ready for 30-day deliveries.
