Sales update: Pilsen's Cullerton Corners

Caption

On a recent visit to Pilsen, I noticed some lawn furniture on the balconies of everybody’s favorite orange and gray condo building, Cullerton Corners. Regular Yo readers might remember Cullerton Corners as the development at 946 – 950 W Cullerton St that caused such a stir in the comments section back in April, when we challenged readers to identify the building’s developer. Since the last time Joe and I visited the intersection of Cullerton and Sangamon streets, construction appears to have wrapped up, the dumpster has been removed and the corner lot has been landscaped.

Claudia Langman from Real Living Helios Realty says two of the seven condos in Cullerton Corners are currently under contract, and she expects a third to close soon. That leaves four available condos, but Langman says she’s only marketing two right now.

Both of the homes Langman is selling are three-bedroom / 3.5-bath duplexes with 1,800 to 1,900 square feet of living space. Langman told me that the prices for both of these homes have recently been reduced, but she didn’t specify how much.

Aside from those two condos, an MLS search finds four two-bedroom / two-baths priced from the $310s to the $320s and two three-bedroom / 2.5-baths that are priced from the $390s to the $410s. I’m not sure which of those are spoken for, or when marketing for the remaining units will begin, but considering that Joe quoted a price range from the $360s to the $460s back in April, it looks like there have been considerable price reductions on some or all of these homes.
