Sales have been pretty steady at Prairie District Lofts, 1727 S Indiana Ave, according to Lisa McMillan from Frankel & Giles. In the June issue of New Homes, Kargil Development vice president Brian Giles told Dan Schuyler that the building was about 50 percent sold. Now, McMillan says about 65 of the units have been sold, and two sales have been made in the past two weeks (which is consistent with Giles’ estimate of one sale per week).
McMillan says there are still 42 one- to three-bedroom lofts available, and there’s also one remaining four-bedroom unit. Prices for one-bedrooms run from the $220s to the $330s, two-bedrooms are priced from the $290s to the $410s, three-bedrooms start in the $420s, and that one four-bedroom is priced in the $510s.
The current incentive is a matching tax credit for first-time buyers that will take $7,500 off the price of any unit. The developer is also offering free parking in a rental lot until January, 2011.
