Cherry Hill Home Builders did a spot-on job living up to the artist’s rendering of these three single-family homes at 832-838 W Lill Ave in Lincoln Park. Only one house remains unsold: a 5,100-plus-square-footer with six bedrooms and 4.5 baths for $2.1M.

yo buena pointe.jpg The rendering of Buena Pointe, a 93-unit high-rise in Buena Park, is a little harder to match because, well, the development is located at 4350 N Broadway St and not in the middle of the freaking Arizona desert. Despite the goofy rendering and bad pun on the Web site (“a new pointe of view”), we’re pretty psyched about the building’s two terraces — one at the mezzanine level off an 1,100-square-foot common room and one 12 stories up on the roof — and duplex penthouses. The one- to three-bedroom condos at Buena Pointe range from the $330s to the $690s.

  • This is an awful building. Its massing is clunky, its architectural details are crude if present at all and its relationship with the street is downright hostile.

The terraces probably are great when you’re looking at the rest of the city with your back to this dissapointment of a building.

Too bad the new building being wedged in between Sheridan and Broadway just down the street is equally as graceless as the Buena Pointe.
