A hat tip to Gizmodo for alerting me to CLOO’, the latest venture in the sharing economy.

Here’s how CLOO’ works, per its Website:

CLOO’ turns any private bathroom into a public bathroom accessible to your friends & friends of friends using your social media connections, basically solving the problem of too-few easily accessible restrooms.

Just open CLOO’ to see the hosts in your area (members loos you can use) then CLOO’ displays any friends you have in-common with them, the host’s community rating and the token price of their loo.

Is anyone who opens their bathroom to “friends of friends” clueless about the world they live in?

  • What a ridiculous idea. I have no idea why anyone would want to get calls from friends of friends wanting to use their bathroom any time of the day or night. How are they supposed to enter my bathroom in the first place? Most people aren’t home all day, and we tend to lock our doors precisely in order to keep people from the street from coming into my condo.
