Short-term rentals – prohibited, but common

The Declaration for almost every Chicago condo prohibits short-term rentals. Many condo decs require 30 days notice to the condo board for any rental.

There are a number of good reasons for these policies, as anyone who’s ever engaged in short-term rentals knows.

Formal policies notwithstanding, it’s easy to find short-term rentals in Chicago condo buildings.
