Signs of the times in River North

Caption

Jameson Real Estate continues to list and promote Cataldo / Marovitz’s Park Kingsbury Luxury Lofts, located at 678 N Kingsbury St in River North, with the hope of delivering some homes by the end of the year, so it’s entirely possible that this sign is just showing some winter wear-and-tear, is a victim of an inconsiderate passer-by, or is set to be replaced by a flashier promotion. For the moment, however, it’s certainly a “sign of the times” for many new developments.

The 12 lofts currently include two-bedrooms priced from the $470s to $1.57 million, and three-bedrooms priced from the $760s to $1.35 million. To our knowledge, Park Kingsbury is the only new true loft development left in River North, now that the 154 Lofts on Hubbard Street have sold out.

Earth is moving at 469 W Huron St, site of the revived and repurposed Parc Huron. Chicago Magazine and Globe St reported last month that developers Thomas Moran and Tony Rossi Sr plan to build Lennar‘s canceled condo tower as a rental building. Lease rates for the one- to three-bedroom units will be from about $1,530 to $3,600 a month, according to those reports.
