While we’re on the subject of Mod, two five-story condo buildings planned for 1222 and 1224 W Madison St (address corrected) in the West Loop, we thought we’d give you a look at renderings of the interiors. You can see the real thing when Mod opens its sales center at 1131 W Madison St in mid-September.
The developers, Stillpoint Development, The Pickus Companies and Castlebar Enterprises, Inc., have pointed out on several occasions that this project is aimed at lovers of sleek, sophisticated, modern design. Do Yo’all find these interiors enticing on that front?

It looks like every single other condo in the west loop. BORING.
Yeah, one of these days some developer/architect will do something really revolutionary, like wall off the kitchen from the living room, make a separate dining room, or put carpeting on all of the floors as an option. But I guess the trend nowadays is to have a studio-apartment-plus-bedroom.
what kind of floors are those? it’s nice to see something besides wood or carpet.
Maybe, like the 930-940 Madison condos, the floors are polished-and-colored concrete. Definitely an “acquired taste” but interesting.
Wrong address cited in the original post. I believe that the correct address is closer to 1300 West Madison…East of Throop.
I agree with Local Realtor (but for the carpeting). The living/dining/great room condo concept is waning. The ideal of looking at the microwave and stainless fridge from every angle of the living space is unappealing. When will we see the next generation of condos, – living with a bit more dignity!? It is coming, people are beginning to move on from the drywall palaces of the last ten years. Expect resales on the last generation of condod to reflect a downward price adjustment.
Wall of the living room is a 70’s kitchen design. buy an older condo and you’re set.
The image of the living room looks like the kitchen showroom at Home Depot. Is any thought at all given to the interior design?
