Here is our first peek at Smithfield Properties’ new SoNo high-rise, designed by architectural firm Booth Hansen. Almost 25 percent of the condos have already been sold after only a couple of weeks on the market. Around the office the design has been likened to that of 30 W Oak, another Smithfield / Booth Hansen collaboration. What do you think?

SOrt of interesting, NOt a lot of privacy.
Your first peak? You might want to peek at a dictionary.
Oops, typo addressed. Now back to the subject at hand: what do you think of SoNo, Joe?
We had our offices just around the corner on Weed Street for nearly 5 years.
The location, though not in Lincoln Park, has a lot of advantages.
It has good access to public transportation along North Avenue and Halsted Street, and the CTA Red Line’s North / Clybourn stop.
It’s also an easy walk to good shopping and entertainment. And, the building will have largely unobstructed views – you can see Lincoln Park easily from it.
unobstructed views? if i’m looking at that rendering right, it looks like you’ll have an unobstructed balcony view of your neighbor’s balcony three feet away from yours.
that depends, of course, on which direction your unit would face – check out the spiffy interactive floor plan selector on the web site to see all the options – i’m sure some have fantastic views of lincoln park.
I’m a fan, of both the building and the interactive floor plans.
